De Veiligheidsregio Noord- en Oost-Gelderland (VNOG) is één van de 25 veiligheidsregio’s in Nederland. We zijn een van de deelnemende overheidsorganisaties aan het Startup in Residence Achterhoek programma. Wij dagen Startups uit om met innovatieve oplossingen te komen voor maatschappelijke uitdagingen waar wij als veiligheidsregio mee te maken hebben. Uiteraard staat het thema Veiligheid centraal in onze organisatie en we streven ernaar om daarin te excelleren qua uitvoering en handhaving van deze veiligheid in onze samenleving. We zijn ervan overtuigd dat we daarin qua innovatiekracht moeten samenwerken met Startups en het MKB om toekomstgerichte oplossingen te ontwikkelen. Een aantal uitdagingen hebben we scherp voor ogen en zijn als concrete uitdagingen uitgezet in het Startup in Residence programma. Er zullen echter ook startups zijn met een innovatief product of dienst die we momenteel nog niet kennen maar die ons wel als veiligheidsregio kunnen helpen te excelleren in onze dienstverlening.

Challenge: Heb jij een innovatie die passend is binnen de beleidskaders en ambities van de Veiligheidsregio Noord Oost Gelderland? Pitch dan jouw innovatie. 

Het doel is om nieuwe oplossingen te vinden voor uitdagingen waarmee wij als brandweer dagelijks worden geconfronteerd, zoals innovaties in het voorkomen van branden, het verbeteren van veiligheid, efficiëntie en effectiviteit bij het bestrijden van branden en het bieden van hulpverlening.

De wildcard challenge is een initiatief van de Veiligheidsregio Noord- en Oost-Gelderland. Het is een open oproep aan startups om innovatieve oplossingen aan te dragen voor veiligheidsvraagstukken.

Wat willen we bereiken?

We hebben de ambitie om via de wildcard challenge duurzame samenwerkingen op te starten. We zijn daarom op zoek naar oplossingen die passen binnen de ambities, taken en verantwoordelijkheden van de Veiligheidsregio. Onze voorkeur gaat uit naar oplossingen waarbij we zelf de inkoper of gebruiker zijn. Twijfel je of jouw bedrijf een passende oplossing heeft voor de Veiligheidsregio en wil je dat eerst even toetsen voordat je jouw bedrijf aanmeldt? We zijn op zoek naar een Startup met een creatieve oplossing die ook daadwerkelijk de oplossing kan ontwikkelen en aanbieden. We zoeken schaalbare innovaties zodat we na de eerste pilotfase de startup ook kunnen helpen, met het openen van een netwerk, om de oplossing te vermarkten binnen de Nederlandse veiligheidsregio’s. We zijn niet op zoek naar alleen een idee. Jouw Startup is ook in staat om de oplossing te ontwikkelen en aan te bieden zodat we jouw oplossing kunnen inkopen. 

In deze Wildcard Challenge zijn we niet op zoek naar adviesdiensten of onderzoeken.

The Safety Region North East Gelderland (VNOG) is one of the 25 safety regions in the Netherlands. We are one of the participating government organizations in the Startup in Residence Achterhoek program. We challenge startups to come up with innovative solutions for societal challenges that we, as a safety region, face. Safety is, of course, a central theme in our organization, and we aim to excel in the execution and enforcement of safety in our society. We are convinced that we need to collaborate with startups and SMEs in terms of innovation to develop forward-looking solutions. We have a clear vision of some challenges and have defined them as concrete challenges in the Startup in Residence program. However, there may also be startups with innovative products or services that we do not yet know but that can help us, as a safety region, excel in our service delivery.

Challenge: Do you have an innovation that fits within the policy framework and ambitions of the Safety Region North East Gelderland? Pitch your innovation.

The goal is to find new solutions for challenges that, for example, firefighters face daily, such as improving safety, efficiency, and effectiveness in combating fires and providing assistance. The wildcard challenge is an initiative of the Safety Region North and East Gelderland. It is an open call to startups to propose innovative solutions for safety issues.

What we aim to achieve
Through the wildcard challenge, we aim to initiate sustainable collaborations. Therefore, we are looking for solutions that align with the ambitions, tasks, and responsibilities of the Safety Region. We prefer solutions where we are the buyer or user ourselves. If you are unsure whether your company has a suitable solution for the Safety Region and would like to check before registering your company, please contact us at info@startupachterhoek.nl.
We are looking for a startup with a creative solution that can actually develop and offer the solution. We seek scalable innovations so that, after the initial pilot phase, we can assist the startup in opening a network to market the solution within Dutch safety regions.

What we are  not looking for
In this Wildcard Challenge, we are not seeking advisory services or research.
We are not looking for just an idea. Your startup should also be capable of developing and offering the solution for us to procure.
